State Department of Agriculture
With roots dating to 1921, the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food is one of the State’s oldest agencies. It oversees dozens of legislatively mandated programs that promote the healthy growth of Utah agriculture, the conservation of our natural resources and the protection of our food supply.
Utah’s Own: Utah’s Own helps you find quality local products, protect the environment, and strengthen Utah’s economy. Utah’s Own also helps local food companies with business-to-business networking, resourceful training and credible local branding.

Buy Local First: Organized in 2006 by a small group of volunteer business owners and community-minded residents, Local First Utah was one of the first local business alliances in the nation. Today, with thousands of locally owned and independent business partners, we work on the forefront of the “buy local” movement in Utah.  Local businesses are the backbone of any community. It is nearly impossible to imagine our neighborhoods, our towns and our cities here in Utah without them.
